Searching Smarter using Google
More and more people rely on the internet for information. People use Google to find information, to begin research and to answer everyday questions. On any given day, there are three billion queries asked of Google. I’m sure a day does not go by when one of us does not go to Google for answer. But do you really get “an answer?” How many times has a Google Search failed you? What do your results say about your search tactics? There are specific strategies that we can all use when we do a Google Search. Students will break up into groups and research specific strategies for better Google searches from the resources on the library web page. Groups will then work together to share their best practices and create a public service announcement (or a series of public service announcements) to show during morning assembly.
